Recovery At Ringgold will celebrate its 6th anniversary on October 24th beginning at 6:00 pm. The event will be hosted by Ringgold United Methodist Church on Nashville St. in Ringgold. Mr. Joe Smith of Chattanooga will be the guest speaker and share his story of recovery.Recovery At Ringgold is a free program offered to anyone who is struggling with chemical dependency or compulsive behaviors. It is a Christ-centered program that incorporates fellowship, small sharing groups, and the 12 steps to help people return to productive lives. This program has served hundreds of people that desperately needed help since the program began in October of 2013. “Lives have been saved, families reunited, and productive lives restored,” said Jerry Smith, Chairman of the Board of Directors. He continued “It is important to understand that this program is about much more than just drugs and alcohol. It’s about helping people deal withwhatever they struggle with.”Mr. Joe Smith of Chattanooga, who is renowned for his involvement in the recovery movement as a minister, a counselor, a public servant, a leader and an advocate will be the guest speaker, and he will share his own amazing story of recovery.The event begins at 6:00 pm with some light food, which will be followed at 6:30 pm by a worship service including live contemporary music and Mr. Smith’s talk. Small sharing groups will follow the main service, beginning at 7:30 and ending at 8:00 pm, concluding the event.The event will be hosted by Ringgold United Methodist Church which is located at 7484 Nashville Street, Ringgold, GA 30736.
